Plant trade and zoo-horticulture Winkendick was established in 1993 and has specialised to the needs of zoological gardens, zoos and wildlife parks.

Our management

Reiner Winkendick studied mechanical engineering and has worked for many years as an environmental engineer.

Pursuing the hobby of breeding and keeping tropical birds, the business idea to provide zoos and wildlife parks with equipment for the shaping of natural habitats arose. In cooperation with the Duisburg Zoo, this idea could be implemented successfully for the first time. Thereafter, many other projects followed, for example in the zoo of Berlin.

Experience in reproducing of natural habitats have been and will still be gained through numerous journeys and researching on-site.

Dr. Stephanie Winkendick studied biology at the University of Hamburg and has been working for the company for seven years.
